Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention TrainingWisconsin's Prevent Violence Against Children Act requires child care providers and preschool teachers to attend an approved training on Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention. If you are a child care provider planning to take SBS Prevention training, please check the List of Authorized Trainers for Child Care Provider Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention Training to make sure the person offering the training is approved. Otherwise your training will not meet the requirement. To find a source of training, try: The Child Care Resource and Referral Agency serving your county If you would like to become an approved trainer - qualified to train other child care providers using the approved SBS Curriculum - you must attend a 3-hour train-the-trainer session offered by a Child Care Resource & Referral Agency or by these Family Resource Centers:

Wisconsin child care providers can obtain free copies of the CTF Crying Card from the Child Care Information Center by emailing ccic@dpi.wi.gov or phoning 1-800-362-7353.
