Agencies and Associations

A wide variety of agencies and associations exist to assist special populations. They may focus on financial support, educational opportunities, employment, advocacy, and political representation. No mater what their purpose the they can provide a array of information about the population that they serve and the community settings in which they participate. Examples of these agencies and associations include: National Association for Advancement of Colored People, Urban League, Centro Hispano, United Migrant Opportunity Services Inc., United Refugee, The Lao Human Rights Council, Hmong Mutual Assistance Associations, State Deaf Hearing impaired Administrative Offices, Great Lakes Tribal Council, Tribal Agencies/Associations.
