8th Annual Nelson Institute Earth Day Conference

Earth: To be Determined

Event Date

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

The first Earth Day, on April 22, 1970, inspired 20 million people to participate in environmental teach-ins across the United States. Earth: To Be Determined will explore challenges and opportunities presented by rapid, large-scale changes in the global environment, including implications for energy and climate, human health, natural resources, the economy, urban development, the demographics of the environmental movement and more. Actress and activist Rosario Dawson, cofounder and chair of the voting rights organization Voto Latino and an international advocate for women's rights and environmental quality, will keynote.
