Reports & Background

This website was created and expanded through the following efforts and initiatives.

Promoting Excellence for All Task Force

The Promoting Excellence for All: State Superintendent's Task Force on Wisconsin's Achievement Gap was charged, by then-State Superintendent Tony Evers, to identify classroom‑centered best practices that can address Wisconsin’s achievement gaps.

The task force's work is what generated this website. The group's findings are also available as a stand-alone, printable report.

Parent Advisory Council Report

Additions to the Family and Community Engagement focus area were provided in a 2015 report from the State Superintendent's Parent Advisory Council. It specifically discusses strategies and tips in this focus area.

eCourse Development

The Department of Public Instruction created the Promoting Excellence for All eCourse to help educators deepen their understanding and use of strategies proven to close the gap. The three introductory units were made available in September 2015. The full course will be released in the winter of the 2015-16 school year.
