Wisconsin FBLA Fall Leadership Labs

Many states conduct leadership development programs during the fall season. Wisconsin FBLA's Fall Leadership Labs are the place for your chapter to gear-up for an exciting year. These labs are very well attended each year, and they represent an excellent and affordable way for your chapter leadership to experience FBLA. The 2011 FBLA Fall Leadership Labs are scheduled as follows:

These labs are often designed specifically for first-year FBLA members, or members with future leadership potential, and feature several sectionals to help student leaders grow. Each student is able to attend various sectionals [Life, Community Service in FBLA, Characteristics of a Leader, and the Basics of FBLA] that will be led by facilitators: Corey Flournoy and the 2011-2012 state officer team.

Sectional Descriptions:

The Grand Challenge in the Game of Candy Land (Life)

Perhaps the greatest game any person will ever need to compete, survive and win is the actual game of life. As each person embarks on the journey of living life each day with new adventures and unexpected challenges, the end goal has to be discovering and living your life purpose in a way that will make a lasting impact on the world.

Mr. Mints Does Good "Axe" Too (Community Service in FBLA)

In this workshop, you will learn colorful ways to help out in your community. You may get stuck somewhere like "Molasses Swamp", but we will teach you the right path to "Candy Castle". Community service is a sweet way to get involved and show people what you're made of.

Road to Candy Castle (Characteristics of a Leader)

Is there a strategy to win in the game of Leadership? One strategy is by knowing what it takes to be a great leader and this session will provide you the games pieces to help you figure out your own leadership style, understand what it takes to live by your beliefs and values, and even help you set goals to grow and win as a leader. Come join us as we embark on our journey towards leadership.

Candy Facts (The Basics of FBLA)

In this workshop, members will test their knowledge of FBLA and learn new information about the organization while participating in a game-show activity. Members will learn about FBLA history, competitions and membership, as well as other FBLA facts.

During check-in, students will be provided with sectional selections to ensure all chapters are represented in all sectionals. Each sectional may be presented several times; a sample FBLA Fall Leadership Lab agenda is provided below.
