Because We
- Want to make friends people who know and respect each other often work well together
- Want recognition people who are rewarded continue to be good council members
- Want experience people who learn new skills use them for everyone's benefit
- Want authority those who practice leadership can bring about important community change
- Were asked and could not say no often the reluctant joiner develops into the strong supporter
- Were assigned or appointed people who carry viewpoints from group to group build better communications within the community
- Want something to do people who finally find the time to get involved appreciate the opportunity to make a difference
- Want a stepping stone to other opportunities people who plan to move on will be driven to excellence
- Have an ax to grind people who do care will work hard to correct the problem
And because we all do care about people in our communities, and we want life to better, fuller, and richer for everyone.
