As with plans for library services, districts are required to submit Common School Funds budget plans annually, even though comprehensive Library Media and Technology plans are no longer required. DPI released a new technical support website in 2016 to help districts with Common School Funding. This website contains the following information to help district collaborative leadership teams (inclusive of the library media specialist) plan and make budgetary decisions on the use of their local funds. Other information on the website includes: statutory information, annual distribution amounts, purchasing guidelines and WUFAR codes, audit information, how to submit a question on your local district purchases and DPI contacts.
