ISES Update

ISES - INTERFACE SPECIFICATIONS - VERSION 3.0

The ISES Interface Specifications for the 2006-07 Collection have been published. For the 2006-07 ISES collection, three new data elements, Educational Environment Classification, Native Language and Program Schedule have been introduced. Composite English Language Proficiency Level has replaced English Proficiency Score. The ISES Student Load File and Baseline Download File Definition, appendix B.2, has been modified to reflect these changes. The ISES Student Status File Definition, appendix B.5, has been modified to include the three new data elements, two calculated fields, Expected Transfer Response and Possible Full Term Dropout Indicator, and the Local ID 1 from the WSLS.

ISES - CSV AND XML FILE EXAMPLES AND VALIDATION TOOLS

The tools for validating and parsing ISES XML and CSV files have not yet been modified to reflect Version 3 of the Interface Specifications.

ISES - USER-INITIATED DATA VALIDATION MESSAGES AND BUSINESS RULES

The ISES validation messages for the 2006-07 Collection have been published. New validation messages have been introduced to accommodate the new data elements. Several existing messages have been revised. Changes and additions are highlighted in red.

ISES - VENDOR TRAINING

A vendor training session is planned for this spring. Further information regarding session schedule and registration will be provided at a later date.
