PLEASE DISTRIBUTE THIS MESSAGE TO ALL DISTRICT STAFF WORKING IN WSLS or ISES

Several validation business rule issues have been resolved over the past week. If you have experienced the following issues and have been unable to lock your district, we suggest that you revalidate your entire district.

  1. In some cases, 2003-2004 year end possible full term dropout records were not properly identified.
  2. Several 'Invalid Exit Type' errors, Exit Type informational and warning messages in the year end records were being thrown inconsistently or being applied 'out of order' when multiple year end records existed.
  3. Warning and error messages stating that multiple HSC credentials were present when only one exists.
  4. Payer is optional for the 2005-06 ISES Collection, but certain business rules were requiring this element.
  5. A completed school term warning was incorrectly interpreting the district school term end date.

If you believe that the only remaining ISES issues that you have are related to these bugs, then you should probably just go to the Summary of Schools screen and try to do a District Wide Lock. If it is successful then you are done. Please remember that you are locked at the district level only if a date appears after the "Lock Date:" text. If no date appears then the lock failed and you have more errors to fix and/or more warnings to acknowledge.

A full list of ISES validation messages is provided at http://dpi.wi.gov/lbstat/xls/isesvalid.xls.

Thank you for your continuing patience. We appreciate your efforts.

We'd like to remind you that helpdesk support will not be available on January 2. Happy new year.
