- The District Administrator (Superintendent) has designated me as the Local WSLS / ISES Administrator via the Delegated Authority application, why am I not able to access the WSLS or ISES?
The Local WSLS / ISES Administrator must use the Delegated Authority application to assign himself / herself roles within the WSLS and ISES. Note that there is a short wait time following role assignment (usually 1 to 2 hours) before a user may access the WSLS or ISES functions based on new role assignments. Top
- My doesn't my password work anymore? What must I do?
Passwords are scheduled to expire every year. If you think your password has expired, then go to the WSLS or ISES login screen again but don't attempt to log in. Please click on the link near the bottom that says "Forget your password?". This will take you into account recovery. For the first screen all you need to do is just enter your user ID. The computer generated email comes back to the email address that is registered with your account. Just respond to the email and ultimately you will be asked your secret question to which you must respond with your secret answer. See below if you have forgotten your secret answer. Top

Too many unsuccessful login attempts will result in a locked user account. To unlock your account, go to the log in page again but don't attempt to log in. Please click on the link that says "Forget your password?". Top
- I do not remember the answer to my secret question. What should I do?
You only have 3 attempts to answer the secret question correctly. If you fail the third time, you will have even more trouble restoring the account. So therefore, if you should fail the second time, then please email us with your telephone number so that we can discuss the issues surrounding your account. Alternatively, to retrieve the answer to your secret question, you may contact the 'Support Center' at ON.WISCONSIN.GOV. On the support center form, specifically state that you have forgotten the answer to your secret question and request that it be emailed to you. Top
- How do I resolve an Information Alert - Error 403?
When attempting to log into this application, if you receive the 403 Information Error, you might want to try the following steps:
- If the description text is 'Your login capability is locked. Please contact your system administrator', then see 3 above. If the description text is any other message, then continue to step b.
- Verify that you have been authorized to access this application. Your District Superintendent or Local WSLS / ISES Administrator must grant you access to the WSLS or ISES, as appropriate. District Superintendents or Local WSLS / ISES Administrators use the Delegated Authority Web Application provide access to these applications.
- If the description text is 'Access to this page is restricted because of access control policies', skip to step f. If the description text is any message other than 'Your login capability is locked. Please contact your system administrator' or 'Access to this page is restricted because of access control policies', continue to step d.
- The WSLS and ISES web addresses are case sensitive. Use the WSLS and ISES Web page links to access the system, rather than creating a 'Favorites' link in you web browser. If you continue to receive the 403 error regarding access restriction, continue to step e.
- Web page caching should be deactivated. Caching may occur on your computer or may be handled for your entire location by your local network administrator. If you need further information about web caching, continue to step f.
- Contact the WSLS/ISES Help Desk. If possible, print the screen error on your printer or save the screen print in a file on your computer. Include you first and last name, school, district, phone number, and a description of your problem on all faxes, email, or letters. Faxing (608-266-2529) or emailing (*dpistats@dpi.wi.gov) the screen print(s) may help expedite the resolution process. Top
