Title I and School Support

Wisconsin Schools of Recognition Grant Program

DPI does not currently have a funding source to continue the Schools of Recognition Grant program for this school year. However, DPI staff is seeking funding sources and alternate ways to provide opportunities for schools to create new innovative programs or scale-up successful existing programs in order to increase teacher effectiveness, close the achievement gap, increase graduation rates, and address identified local priorities.

Overview

This is a competitive grant program for schools identified as 2010-11 Wisconsin Schools of Recognition (SOR). The purpose of this competitive grant is to provide opportunities for schools to create new innovative programs or scale-up successful existing programs in order to increase teacher effectiveness, close the achievement gap, increase graduation rates, and address identified local priorities. DPI will give priority to high quality applications that meet the invitational priority of increasing teacher effectiveness. Please view the "Program Ideas" document for suggestions of fundable activities.
