Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds: A Summer of Medieval Madness & Magic
The Wisconsin Regional Library once more is working with the statewide Summer Reading Program being offered by libraries throughout Wisconsin. This year's theme is "Dragons, Dreams, and Daring Deeds". Children interested in taking part in the summer reading program may sign up at their local public libraries, but read materials from the Regional Library. Libraries may request Brailled copies of activities from the summer reading program manual by phoning Sally Snyder at the Nebraska Library Commission (402) 471-2045. The Regional Library has available a .jpeg file with the Braille equivalent of the following phrases: "Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds: A Summer of Medieval Madness & Magic" and "Joust Read" (the statewide program for young adults). Also available is a list of books about dragons, fairies, monsters, and unicorns, which children may request in large print, Braille, tape or e-text format.
Announcements:
The Regional Library is mailing a large print copy of our bibliography "African-American Authors: an annotated bibliography of books for children & young adults" to all of our young readers. Please phone for a copy in Braille, tape, or e-text format.
Resources:
