UW-Milwaukee schedules Urban Forum

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Education announces its tenth annual Urban Forum, Daring to Educate for Equity and Excellence through Multicultural Education, to be held November 6. The Urban Forum is an opportunity for students, teachers, administrators, and community members to discuss how education is impacted by an urban setting.

The morning session of the Urban Forum will feature James Banks, Ph.D., who is the Kerry and Linda Killinger Professor and Director of the Center for Multicultural Education at the University of Washington. The evening session will feature Samuel Betances, Ph.D., of Souder, Betances & Associates, and a former professor at Northeastern Illinois University.

The Urban Forum is free and open to the public. To register, visit http://www.soe.uwm.edu/ and click on the Urban Forum icon. Registrations are due by October 30.
