NCELA offers on-line toolkit

The National Clearinghouse for English Language Acquisition (NCELA) has developed a resource called In the Classroom: a Toolkit for Effective Instruction of English Learners, available at http://www.ncela.gwu.edu/practice/itc/.

The toolkit is designed to bring research and practice together for teachers of culturally and linguistically diverse learners. Initiated by National Clearinghouse staff with experience in teaching English as a second language (ESL), the project is designed to make research-based lessons, activities, and curriculum accessible to all teachers of English Language Learners (ELL), whether within bilingual education, ESL, or English-only settings. It is intended to be an ongoing effort. Contributions of lessons for the Toolkit are welcome. NCELA's home page is http://www.ncela.gwu.edu/
