Burmaster proclaims National Library Week in Wisconsin, April 15-21

State Superintendent Elizabeth Burmaster proclaimed National Library Week in Wisconsin, April 15 to 21, 2007, to encourage all state residents to visit their libraries and to take advantage of the wide range of resources available through public libraries.

“Wisconsin’s public, school, academic, and special libraries touch the lives of millions of Wisconsin residents in a positive way each year by lending library materials, answering reference questions, conducting adult and children’s programs, and by providing access to electronic information,” Burmaster said. “During National Library Week, I encourage all state residents to visit their library and thank their librarians and library staff for making information and education accessible to all.”
