6. School Lunch Week and conferences on music, art, GED

Some upcoming events to note:

The 2007 GED/HSED & Adult Literacy Conferences and GEDO 2 School Staff Workshop take place October 16-18. There still may be time to register for this event featuring a very wide range of session options. An application is available at http://www.wacteonline.org/.

This is National School Lunch Week (October 14-20). In a proclamation, State Superintendent Elizabeth Burmaster noted that the success of the National School Lunch Program is "due largely to resourceful and creative local food service administrators, managers, and staff working in cooperation with parents, teachers, community groups, government personnel, and students."

The Wisconsin Music Educators Association Conference takes places October 24-27 in Madison.

The Wisconsin Art Education Association Conference takes place October 25-26 in River Falls.
