5. Veterans Day materials

Veterans Day is less than three weeks away.

The website of the Wisconsin Chapter of the Veterans History Project, along with the DPI page about the project, offer ideas and support for assigning students to interview veterans as a service-learning project.

The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) is also offering Veterans Day materials on its website, including educator materials. Further, the WDVA site lists Veterans Day programs and ceremonies taking place throughout Wisconsin. To submit your school's event, email the details to joann.tranchita@dva.state.wi.us.
