6. National Teachers Hall of Fame seeks nominations

The National Teachers Hall of Fame is seeking nominations.

To be considered, individuals must have taught for at least 20 years in PreK-12 education. A national selection committee including representatives from education, government, and business will review the nominations.

Each inductee will be honored at a 2008 award ceremony and will receive permanent recognition in the National Teachers Hall of Fame Museum, $1,000 in educational materials, and a $1,000 scholarship for a student in the inductee's school district.

The nomination deadline is January 2, 2008.
