5. Calendar highlights: parents, early childhood, assistive technology

The second annual Assistive Technology Across the Lifespan Conference, co-sponsored by the Wisconsin Assistive Technology Initiative (WATI) and WisTech, occurs March 6-7 in Stevens Point, and will provide high quality information about state-of-the-art assistive technologies and successful implementation strategies.

The Preserving Early Childhood Conference, on March 4-6 in Madison, is a forum to promote collaborative approaches for Wisconsin’s young children. (For details, contact Jill Haglund at the DPI.)

Parents, teachers, administrators, other school staff, and community members seeking to enhance education through family-community partnerships will want to attend the DPI Annual Parent Leadership Conference, March 12, 2008, in Oconomowoc. Keynote speaker is Karen Mapp of Harvard University.
