6. Enrollment projections from UW experts available on-line

The Applied Population Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has posted its report, Wisconsin's Public School Enrollment: Past, Present, & Future. The report projects that enrollments, which have already stopped declining and begun to rise in Wisconsin elementary schools, will do the same at the middle level in about 2009, and in high schools in about 2013. The numbers are then expected to continue rising for the foreseeable future.

The report also breaks down data by urban, suburban, and rural districts. Studies of gender, age, and ethnicity demographics are also included.

The Applied Population Laboratory is a group of research and outreach professionals within the UW-Madison.
