5. New BadgerLink training videosFour new programs on the BadgerLink website make it easy to learn how to make the most of the BadgerLink databases. BadgerLink is a free service for Wisconsin residents which provides access to articles from thousands of newspaper and periodical titles, image files, and other specialized reference materials and websites. BadgerLink is a project of the Department of Public Instruction, in cooperation with the state's public, school, academic, and special libraries and Internet service providers. The new videos cover how to use databases such as EBSCO, Kids Search, Searchasaurus, TeachingBooks, ProQuest, Newspaper ARCHIVE, the African American Biographical Database, and LitFinder. The programs are divided into multiple videos in Shockwave format. If you don't have Shockwave on your computer, you will be prompted to download the required plug-in. The new programs cover:
