The Level I training consists of six modules designed to improve the educational outcomes for children with TBI. Activities include presentation of information as well as application of concepts. Contact information for the CESA-based TBI trainer in your area who can provide this training is listed within the Resources section on the DPI TBI webpage. Level II TBI Training: Meeting the Needs of Your Student with Traumatic Brain InjuryThis workshop is designed to supplement the Level I training. Level II training will allow team members to plan to meet the needs of a specific student with TBI. Teams of two or more (including parents, teachers, related services providers, and/or administrators) work together with support from a facilitator to identify concerns about the student, access resources, and develop a plan for assessment/intervention. Parents of the student with TBI are encouraged to attend along with the student's educational team. Since group discussion of specific student concerns may be necessary, a release of information form signed by the parent of the child with TBI with whom you are working is required in order to participate in this workshop.
