2024-25 WISEdata Snapshot Reminder

The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) is writing to remind you of the annual WISEdata Snapshot on December 10, 2024. All of you have staff who have been working diligently on this reporting, and we appreciate you helping them to prioritize submitting high quality data for this crucial data snapshot. Below is a summary of the data to submit for snapshot:

  • 2023-24 Year End Completion data (used to calculate Graduation Rates, Dropout Rates, Chronic Absenteeism, and Discipline)
  • 2023-24 Roster and Career Education data
  • NEW: 2023-24 Timely Special Ed Evaluation
  • 2024-25 Third Friday of September Enrollment 
  • 2024-25 October 1 Child Count of students with disabilities
  • 2024-25 Graduation Requirements (Grad Plan)
  • 2023-24/2024-25 Demographics, including economically disadvantaged status
  • 2024-25 Digital Equity Data (Optional)
  • 2024-25 District Library Plan (entered by you in WISEadmin Portal)

Once the snapshot is taken, the data are considered certified and final. 

The data collected in the WISEdata Snapshot is used in the following ways:

  • Public reporting requirements via the WISEdash Public Portal
  • Populates WISEdata Portal and WISEdash for Districts, allowing you to identify and fix data quality issues, perform data analyses, and use the data for informed decision-making
  • Federal reporting, including IDEA Child Count, Career and Technical Education, and ESSA
  • Some funding allocations, such as Perkins, IDEA flow-through, and preschool allocations
  • School and District Report Cards
  • Joint Federal Notifications

Please use the WISEadmin application created specifically for you to access important WISE-related information in one place, as well as to submit the latest District Library Plan if not yet submitted. The WISEadmin Administrator user role is the only one that can update the District Library Plan. Visit the WISEadmin: Info, Help and User Guide for more information.
