Final Secure Report Cards Available in SAFE

Public Release on 11/19

Final secure report cards are now available in SAFE. Please note that these report cards are secure and contain unredacted data. These secure report cards should not be shared publicly in any setting. The most updated report cards say “Final Secure Report” in the header.

The secure versions of report cards in SAFE are meant to be used by school and district staff to inform local school improvement planning efforts, and to prepare your local message in advance of the public release. The final secure report cards reflect any data changes resulting from an inquiry with the Office of Educational Accountability. As always, we encourage a close review of supplemental data for every report card.

Report Cards Public Release on Tuesday

On the morning of Tuesday (November 19), the DPI will publicly release redacted final versions of report cards, accompanied by a news release. This news release, which can be found on the DPI’s news release webpage shortly after it is sent, will signal that the redacted final report cards have been posted and are publicly available.

Resources Available for Communicating

Several resources are available to support your preparations and assist with communicating to your communities.

As a reminder, state assessments were updated for 2023-24, and these updated assessments results are included in these report cards. The scoring of achievement components on the 2023-24 report cards has been modified to allow for comparability and stability in the system.

Please see this accompanying resource to help you effectively communicate the scoring of the report cards. For further information, visit the report card resources page to support your preparations:

  • Sample parent letters, a report card guide, and more technical walk-throughs of the report card calculations.
  • Optional template for you to customize into a local report card, a place to provide additional information about accomplishments, opportunities, and outcomes in your school and district.

In addition, downloadable files that include redacted report card data included in the overall score for all schools or districts in the state will be available as part of the public release in the Report Cards app.

I want to thank you for the careful attention paid to the preliminary secure release and the thoughtful questions and helpful comments we have received. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Educational Accountability.
