Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources

The mission of agriculture & natural resources is:

  • to prepare students for careers in the agriculture industry;
  • to support students in their career choices; and
  • to develop leadership skills in students to benefit their community and the food, fiber, and natural resource systems.

The Wisconsin and National FFA Organization is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

Ag Teachers

“I've seen firsthand countless times how agriculture education teachers transform the lives of our students."

Real World Opportunities

“My business started because of my FFA SAE. What I want to do with my future is because of that, so without Agriculture I never would have even known in the first place.”

Lifelong Learners

"The quality that I see the most is that we're developing lifelong learners. They're making the connection that learning doesn't stop when the bell rings and the class is done."

Hands-On Education

“Myself and my peers, we do so much better working with our hands and not just reading it from a book. Granted there is still that book part of it in the Ag Department, but you can take what you learn from that book and apply it in the classroom, with your hands...”
