CTE Learning that works for Wisconsin

Hello and happy almost CTE month! We are excited to kick off the new year with our annual State Policies Impacting CTE: 2017 Year in Review. What an incredible year for CTE! Forty-nine states enacted 240 CTE-related policies, in large part due to your continued leadership and advocacy for CTE in your state.

Promoting Career and Technical Education

Visit the Promote CTE webpages for ways to get involved and share your school district highlights! Click on the CTE Toolkit to find conversation starters and our social media calendar for the month.

  • Wisconsin State Superintendent has proclaimed February as CTE Month in Wisconsin. The proclamation is here.
  • Several Career and Technical Student Organizations are celebrating in February as well. See those proclamations here.

CTE Month celebrates the value of career and technical education for our students, the future workforce, and our economy. It’s a time to inform students, parents, educators, community members, and legislators about CTE programs, and their impact on our future.

  • Get involved and show us your CTE successes! Share your stories and photos on social media.
  • Be sure to tweet at or tag the DPI’s Twitter (@WisconsinDPI) and/or Facebook (www.facebook.com/WisDPI) and use #CareerTechEd.
  • Remember to like/share our posts (if you have the character space - please prioritize using the hashtag).
