Money Smart Week: Free Resources

Friday, January 26, 2018

Money Smart Week #MSW2018 is scheduled for April 21-28, 2018.  Here are a few simple steps to connect your business education program to this state and national program:

  • If needed, review the history and mission of Money Smart Week.
  • Check out the 2017 National Report to better understand the impact.
  • Are you planning an event to celebrate Money Smart Week?  Thanks to our Money Smart Week National Champion, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Money Smart Week promotional materials are now available for FREE. These promotional materials include the Money Smart Week flyer, bookmark, postcard and statement stuffer. Each piece is available for shipment in quantities of 100, 300, 600 and 1,000 and will be packaged in bundles of 100.  Get a head start and order your promotional materials today. These shipments take 3-4 weeks for delivery.
  • Additionally, The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is coordinating a national pilot project (with a national sponsor!) for 2018 in three states, including Wisconsin. They are still working out the details, but we know the book will be Those Shoes by Maribeth Boelts.  Ordering and distribution information should be available next week, so stay tuned!  There will only be 3,300 free copies distributed throughout the state this year, so each site will be able to request up to 50 free copies. In the past Wisconsin partners have typically distributed over 5,000 copies, so free books will be at a premium.
  • Learn more about the abundance of other educational connections that are available in association with Money Smart Week!
  • Keep your school connected with Personal Financial Literacy in Wisconsin.
