Retrieved from the RtI center webpage

Whether you are new to coaching or you already feel comfortable with your art, professional learning is important for all educators. Here is one option for you to consider as you plan for next year. The RtI center offers several locations to engage in learning for a six-session series. Below I’ve included a description from the RtI website.

This training is designed to leverage the impact district and school teams have as they implement Equitable Multi-Level Systems of Support in behavior (PBIS), reading, and/or math. Class activities include presentation of theory, reading, discussion, group and partner work, modeling and demonstration, reflection, and practice and feedback. Sessions include the opportunity to coach peers, observe peer coaches, receive coaching from peers, and give and receive feedback.

Participants will enroll a coaching client and conduct a minimum of five coaching sessions outside of the class.

Participant teams must:

  • Have an in-depth understanding of Wisconsin’s Framework for RtI
  • Have attended either the Wisconsin RtI Framework training and completed the School Implementation Review (SIR) or attended the PBIS Tier 1 training and completed the Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI)
  • Be committed to the implementation of a coaching model as part of the district or school RtI Framework

If you are interested, be sure to check out the series today. Some locations are filling up quickly!
