Each quarter staff from across Wisconsin’s twelve CESAs who support coaching work convene in a network to discuss the celebrations and barriers they are noting in the field. We hold the space to share ideas and discuss problems of practice. It came as no surprise that when we met this fall coaching during COVID was at the forefront of the conversation.

The conversation revealed that, due to a multitude of variables, coaches' roles were shifting in ways that were unprecedented even in a field that requires flexibility. While this may just be the nature of this year, the group agreed that supporting coaches in having conversations with leadership about their position during the pandemic and after would both quell anxiety and empower coaches to maneuver within the current situation.

Based on the conversation RtI center Coaching and Leadership Coordinator wrote a blog, Navigating Uncharted Waters. This blog offers some key tips and suggestions for coaching in the current environment. It also offers several COVID-specific coaching resources for consideration.
