CACFP New Agency

Are you interested in joining the CACFP?

To gain a better understanding of the CACFP and its benefits, watch the CACFP Introduction Webcast (PowerPoint) and refer to the CACFP Information Sheets for additional information.

School Districts participating on the National School Lunch Program who want to have an At-Risk Afterschool Program under the CACFP, contact a Consultant by County.

At-Risk Programs Only must complete the webcast training and Guide, and attend New Agency Training no later than March of the current school year. Contact Shiela Coulton to find out the consultant assigned to your At-Risk Afterschool Program.

Adult Day Centers interested in the CACFP, contact a Consultant by County.

Family Day Care Home Providers, please click Wisconsin CACFP Sponsors Forum to contact a sponsoring organization in your area.

Option to Join a CACFP Sponsorship

Programs in the Milwaukee Area may join the CACFP under the sponsorship of Social Development Commission (SDC). Contact (414) 963-2682 for more information.

Programs in the following counties may join the CACFP under the sponsorship of Horizons Unlimited, Inc.: Brown, Calumet, Door, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marinette, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Sheboygan, Waupaca, Waushara, Winnebago. CACFP New Agency Application Process

START HERE: Complete the CACFP Eligibility Assessment to determine if your program qualifies for the CACFP. If your program qualifies you will be directed to the next step of the application process.

At-Risk Programs interested in applying for the CACFP must complete the webcast training and Guide, and attend New Agency Training no later than March of the current school year. At Risk Programs that do not meet the March deadline can attend trainings offered September – March of the next school year. Contact Shiela Coulton to find out the consultant assigned to your At-Risk Afterschool Program.

New Agency Training Schedule

Sign up for training after completing Steps 1 and 2 of the CACFP New Agency Application Process. A Training Registration link will be emailed to your agency AFTER completing these steps.

Trainings will be held in Madison.

8:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

You may register for training AFTER completing steps 1 and 2 of the CACFP New Agency Application Process.
