Leading for Learning: Achieving Educational Equity

New Statewide Coordination in Professional Development

We are collaborating with the Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators (WASDA), Association of Wisconsin School Administrators (AWSA), and the cooperative educational service agencies (CESAs) to create a statewide professional learning series addressing continuous improvement, equity, educator development, and other relevant topics.

Through this partnership, we look forward to developing a coherent plan offering fewer, but more comprehensive and effective, learning opportunities to the field.
The Leading for Learning: Achieving Educational Equity series will consist of an annual Leading for Learning Summit and a four-part learning series. Each event will build on the learning from the prior opportunity to deepen participants’ understanding of key concepts and provide specific strategies to inform local continuous improvement efforts.

First Leading for Learning Summit, June 2019

The kick-off of the Leading for Learning series will be a statewide conference in Madison on June 26-28, 2019. The event braids together the aims and audiences of several statewide professional conferences: AWSA’s Quality Educator Conference, WASDA’s Data Summit, and DPI’s Innovations in Equity.
Learning from the summit will provide a foundation for the extended learning offered through the learning series (see below) and the extension activities.

Learning Series

The Summit will be followed by a four-part learning series (formerly known as “WOW”) to extend and deepen the learning.
