Event Description

Integrate career-connected learning into your classroom. Build meaningful relationships and increase opportunities for youth through relevant student-centered, career-connected learning.

 Who should participate?
Teams of district or building-level middle or high school educators (gr. 6-12) who want to develop a transdisciplinary approach to career-connected learning. Teams may include:

  • Teachers (math, science, ELA, world language, CTE, ESL, gifted and/or SPED educator)
  • School counselor(s)
  • Curriculum director
  • Building-level administrator(s)

Why participate?

  • Bring relevance to learning through community and career connections.
  • Expose more students to career possibilities.
  • Help students explore the world of work.
  • Connect learning with the community.

Stipends
A limited number of stipends are available: $1,000 for team members, $1,500 for one team leader. Up to six teachers (or school counselors) are eligible for a stipend per team. Applications for stipends are due by September 30, 2022! Notifications will be sent by October 6.

 What is the time commitment?
All teams will meet and learn together via zoom from 3:30-5:00 pm on these designated dates:

  • October 13
  • Nov 10
  • December 8
  • February 9
  • March 9
  • April 13

In addition to the scheduled meetings, each team will be expected to meet once per month to put your learning into action!
