Are you interested in the future of career and technical education (CTE) in Wisconsin? Then please consider attending one of the five in-person stakeholder engagement and listening sessions being held on March 8, March 26, March 28, April 1, and April 15. Wisconsin is developing a new state plan for CTE around the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V). Join us to share your thoughts on how best to design CTE so that it prepares all students for the future workforce.
These sessions are open to the public. DPI is looking for input from the many groups that make up Wisconsin’s career and technical education community: parents, students (CTE and CTE alumni, special populations, non-CTE), business and industry, state agencies, representatives of special populations, and school district personnel (teachers, coordinators, administrators, and counselors). Please RSVP below if you are coming to allow the hosts to prepare appropriately for the size of the group. Thank you.
Background information: Wisconsin DPI in collaboration with the Wisconsin Technical College System is developing a new state plan around the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V). On behalf of DPI, UW-Stout’s Emerging Center for Career and Technical Education Excellence will facilitate five in-person Stakeholder Engagement and Listening Sessions throughout Wisconsin. The feedback will be used to inform the state plan.
If you’re not able to attend any of the five in-person sessions, you may also share your thoughts through a written survey, which will be posted to the Perkins V webpage.
