The Annual Statewide Institute on Best Practices in Inclusive Education is co-sponsored by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the Inclusion Institute Inc. Keynote speakers include Jennifer Sommerness, Consultant, Educator, Author), and Executive Director at Kids Included Together (KIT); and Jessie Benash, Disability Advocate, Therapist, Adjunct Professor, Motivational Speaker, and Licensed clinical social worker and child therapist who served on the Executive Board of YES! (Youth Emotional Stability).
The 2nd Annual Inclusion Institute Pre-Conference: Maximizing Learning for Students with Significant Support Needs will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Westwood Conference Center in Wausau, WI. The pre-conference is held prior to the annual Inclusion Institute and will include keynote speakers and sectionals specific to topics of alternate assessment, dynamic learning maps, assistive technology, transition, and academic and functional supports for students identified with a most significant cognitive disability. The cost of the pre-conference is $65 per person which includes lunch. More information on the preconference online.
