Final Notice: Required 2024-25 WI EE System Evaluation Survey Due May 5
The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has extended the deadline until Monday, May 5, to facilitate additional responses to this mandatory Wisconsin Educator Effectiveness (EE) System annual survey. In total, DPI estimates that the current response rate statewide is about 47 percent, or below half.
Participate in the Annual EE Evaluation Survey Now!
Participation in the annual survey is required as a condition of receiving the grant and required as compliance monitoring with the WI EE System. The survey is anonymous, meaning DPI does not know what districts have completed the survey or what they said. The survey is also an important opportunity for state model districts to provide us with feedback to inform the future of the system. This year, we added a small section with questions specifically for state model districts to gather feedback on system changes already implemented and potential future changes.
As a reminder, DPI does not know which districts have already responded and cannot check whether they completed the survey. Districts can check by attempting to open the survey. If the individual has already completed the survey from their computer on behalf of the district, then the Qualtrics form will not allow them to complete the survey again.
Only one response is needed per district or independent charter school. If another staff member at the district or school has already completed the survey, there is no need to complete the survey again.
The survey first went out to all EE Grant program coordinator contacts on Monday, March 10. Then, the EdLeaders Dispatch from the DPI to all public school administrators on March 14.
How to take the survey:
- Assign one person to take the survey for the school district or independent charter school. Districts and independent charters only need to submit the survey once.
- Open the Qualtrics survey using the link above.
- Answer questions from the perspective of the whole school district or charter school based on overall practice and policy. Please note that the language of the questions may not match local EE model terminology, like the names of EE conferences (planning session versus “beginning of the year”) or the names of observations (“mini-observations” versus “rapid-cycle”). In these cases, respondents should give the response closest to their local policies or model.
- Submit the survey. Make a note locally that the survey has been completed.
If you have questions, please reach out to the LEAD Team or Jacob Hollnagel, Education Consultant.
