Event Description

Join us for the afternoon and receive training in Project Learning Tree's new 3rd-5th grade online e-unit. The Energy in Ecosystems e-unit investigates the ways in which organisms depend on each other to survive and thrive. Students focus on forests—one of the largest and most complex types of ecosystems—and come to understand some of the interactions present in all ecosystems.

PLT's new e-units are constructed around the Next Generation Science Standards, aligned with Common Core and the C3 Framework, and organized in a 5E instructional model. These cutting-edge teaching and learning tools help you integrate hands-on, student-centered experiences into your curriculum. You can read more about the e-units here.

Participants in this workshop will receive access to the online e-unit and a copy of PLT's K-8 Environmental Education Activity Guide, as well as access to an online training module to refer to in the future. Thanks to a grant, the cost of this training has been reduced from $75 to $25.

Half-day substitute stipends are available! To register, email Nicole Filizetti
