Event Description

Thinking Like a Scientist (Outside)

Exploring the Nature of Science Through the Science of Nature

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) may sound like something you have to do in a lab or using a 3D printer.  However, the most essential elements of STEM are skills and ways of thinking that you can do anywhere with anything.  You are probably already engaging youth in STEM every day!  Learn about science practices and cross cutting concepts and come away with some specific tips and tricks for structuring outdoor investigations to emphasize STEM thinking.  See examples and learn about resources and opportunities to engage youth in authentic experiences.
