Event Description

You are invited to attend a session focused on the arts and social emotional learning, specifically through a theatre lens. This online session will provide a definition of social emotional learning (SEL), the origins of SEL, and examples of school practice using Wisconsin’s Social Emotional Learning competencies with a theatre education lens. Arts Education Consultant, Julie Palkowski, PhD, will guide viewers through this interactive session and also offers several ideas of arts classroom use of Wisconsin’s Social Emotional Learning competencies to support an environment of high trust and quality learning experiences. There are several interactive opportunities within this session to engage in discussions, games, and materials.
A special thank you to the Alliance for Wisconsin Theatre Education who is hosting this session.
