Event Description
This day involves both a deep dive into the standards and an SLO Writing Workshop. In the morning, participants will share their lesson example focused on either CREATE AND PERFORM/PRESENT standards for the Wisconsin Standards for Music and Art & Design (draft) with facilitator, Julie Palkowski, Ph.D., Arts and Creativity Education Consultant of the WI DPI. Additional discussion will involve identifying assessment methods and evidence collection for the lessons. Bring your laptop or tablet with you for the session. (Homework– Design, teach, and be ready to share one lesson focused on either RESPOND or CONNECT at the 2/17/20 session.)
The afternoon is scheduled for an Arts SLO Writing Workshop - The writing session will include examples of arts Student Learning Outcomes, and time to write drafts of SLOs in the arts. Participants will identify each component of the SLO which will include the standard being investigated, timeline, student population for the learning, and assessments and resources used to engage learners. Bring your laptop or tablet with you for the sessions.
