Please note that Academic Parent Teacher Team grants will not be available through DPI for the 2018-19 school year.
The 2017-18 APTT grant funds 10 elementary Title I Focus Schools. Schools will plan, develop, and implement a research-based system of family engagement that strategically connects families and schools to advance student learning and achievement.
The participating schools will implement Academic Parent Teacher Teams (APTTs) that effectively provide parents with the information, skills, and materials they need to support student learning at home. APTT is a classroom-based, teacher-led, data-driven family engagement model focused on collaborating with families to support children’s academic goals by linking home and school learning. By participating in this grant schools involve parents in supporting Agenda 2017, ensuring every child graduates college and career ready, and can partner with parents to help close the achievement gap.
