Obtaining GED/HSED Transcripts and Credentials
This service is for individuals who have earned their Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or your High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) in Wisconsin. If you have earned a regular high school diploma including GED Option #2, you must contact the school district for copies of diplomas and transcripts.
Before making the request, the following information will be required:
- Name at the time of GED testing or name as it appears on your credential. If unsure what name is on your credential, please list all previous names used.
- Last four digits of your social security number
- Your telephone number, with area code
- Email address
All information provided will remain strictly confidential through both request options. Your order will be processed in the sequence received and will take approximately 5-6 weeks to complete. Mailed orders are sent via regular 1st class mail which cannot be traced. The Department is NOT responsible for items lost by the Post Office or by any alternative recipient.
