Digital Learning Survey 2024-25

We are excited to release the data from the newly updated Digital Learning Survey (DLS) 2024-25, designed with valuable input from educators, CESA Specialists, and other key stakeholders. This revised survey reflects the evolving needs of districts, ensuring that it provides meaningful insights into the integration of technology in education.

Purpose and Importance

The Digital Learning Survey (DLS) assesses how districts leverage digital tools to enhance student learning, professional development, and community engagement. By participating, districts contribute to a statewide understanding of best practices, challenges, and opportunities in digital learning. The data collected will help inform policy decisions and strategic planning, ultimately improving educational experiences for all students.

Key Insights & Trends from This Year’s Survey

This year’s DLS highlights critical areas that are shaping the future of digital learning, including:

Curriculum & Instruction – A focus on personalized learning, digital tool integration, and collaboration between educators and library media specialists.

Equity & Accessibility – Analyzing how districts implement assistive technology and ensure equitable access to digital learning for all students, including those with special needs.

Professional Development – Evaluating how educators engage in ongoing learning, including the effectiveness of microcredentials, coaching, and online training.

Budget & Resources – Examining the sustainability of funding for digital learning initiatives and the role of public-private partnerships in optimizing technology investments.

Community Engagement – Exploring how districts use technology to connect with families, businesses, and higher education institutions to support student success.

Data Privacy & Security – Assessing how districts implement policies to protect staff and student data while providing online safety training for students and teachers.

Infrastructure & Connectivity – Investigating bandwidth adequacy, network performance, and strategies for expanding internet access through community partnerships.

Innovative Learning Spaces & Scheduling – Reviewing how districts design flexible learning environments and implement competency-based education models.

A Sincere Thank You

We extend our deepest appreciation to the districts that took part in this year’s survey despite some glitches with the software. Your participation helps shape the future of digital learning, ensuring that every student has access to high-quality, technology-enhanced education. Your insights drive innovation, inform policy, and contribute to a stronger, more connected learning ecosystem.

Thank you for your commitment to excellence in instructional technology integration!
