Beanstack Learning Opportunities

Are you looking to engage your students in reading? Are you interested in exploring a new way to collaborate with your public library? If you are answering “Yes!,” please consider adopting Beanstack in your district. This library-based program is being offered to all Wisconsin public school districts through the DPI with funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant through April 2023.

Please consider some of these opportunities to either learn more about Beanstack or make the best use of this program in your school libraries:

  • Introductory Session - Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 9:00am Meet the Beanstack team and learn about what Beanstack is all about in this introduction specifically personalized for Wisconsin school librarians. Click here to register.

  • Beanstack Roundtable: Engaging Middle and High School Students with Beanstack - Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 2:00pm Have you been looking for tips and strategies to better engage middle and high school students with Beanstack? Join School Success Manager and former OCPS Program Specialist Nicole Lopez and a group of media specialists from around the country in a roundtable discussion on this topic. Each participating media specialist will share what is working for them at their secondary school with time set aside for live Q&A. Click here to register.

Also, did you know that Beanstack rolls out turn-key reading challenge content every month? This month, engage your students with Black History Month and For the Love of Reading. Next month, have your students racing to read with IditaRead and Read Across America. Each challenge template comes with fun-themed logging and activities. Read on!
