The Data Quality Campaign gave Wisconsin a “Bright Spot” mention for its WISEdash Public Portal.
In its State Report Card Bright Spots feature, the group said Wisconsin’s data reporting portal made information easy to understand.
The feature was part of a report called “Show Me the Data.”
“Effective use of data is one way schools and districts work to meet the needs of their kids,” State Superintendent Tony Evers noted in a statement.
“But information is only helpful when educators, families, and community members can make heads or tails of what they are seeing. It is an honor to be recognized by DQC for the work we have done to make data easily understandable and meaningful when publicly presenting student information.”
Evers thanked “the many department staff members, teachers, and school leaders” who have helped with the development and refinement of WISEdash.
