DPI Accepting Applications for Grant Aiding Students Experiencing Homelessness

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction recently announced eligible school districts, charter schools, and Cooperative Educational Service Agencies may apply to receive grant funds to aid in improving programs and services offered to students experiencing homelessness.
 
The grant funds originate from the U.S. Department of Education, and are allocated to Wisconsin applicants through the DPI’s 2020-2023 Education for Homeless Children and Youth program. All LEAs must meet the requirements of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.
 
All grant applications must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2020. Application materials and guidelines can be found on DPI’s EHCY Grant Application and Guidance webpage by clicking here.
