During last week’s Wisconsin Annual Conference for Families of Children with Disabilities and Professionals, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Assistant Director for Special Education, Daniel Parker was awarded The Shaw Brothers Award for Outstanding Professional.
The award honors a professional who exceeds commitments in supporting families of children with disabilities.
Parker has worked with the DPI for nearly nine years. He earned the award based on training provided to educators, paraprofessionals, and the community, along with his commitment to family engagement. The Outstanding Professional Award is one of two Elsie Shaw Foundation Awards given each year.
