Healthy Schools Challenge: Healthy Minds

Tuesday, March 16, 2021

Children’s Wisconsin, Kohls, and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction have collaborated to support nurturing healthy minds for schools and families. Twenty schools will have a chance to win $1,000 to support school and family health and wellness programming through the Mission: Healthy Kids spring Healthy Schools Challenge.

Schools may choose existing or brand new projects that support healthy minds. Share information about your project in the form of an executive summary and a short video or presentation and your school will be entered into the drawing. Children’s Wisconsin provides plenty of ideas and support, along with the fillable executive summary document and application checklist.

According to Children’s Wisconsin, the first 100 schools to register for the Mission: Healthy Kids spring Healthy Schools Challenge will receive a classroom kit that includes a Hoberman sphere (breathing ball), mindfulness activity cards for your classroom, 30 stress stars for your students, a Barnes & Noble gift card for classroom materials, and more!

Visit the Children’s Wisconsin “How it Works” web page for information on how to submit your project no later than April 30, 2021. One submission per school is allowed.
