Microsoft Imagine Academy

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction is pleased to announce funding for the 2017 Act 59 Information Technology Education Grant. This grant will provide access to information technology education opportunities for public school students in grades 6 to 12, technical college district students, and patrons of public libraries through the Microsoft Imagine Academy program.

Microsoft Imagine Academy provides students and educators with industry-aligned curricula and certifications to build competencies and validate skills for high-demand technologies. The Academy offers courses and certifications in four paths: Computer Science, IT Infrastructure, Data Science, and Productivity. Additionally, participating schools will receive (at no cost) a 12-month site license for certification testing of the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) applications and Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certifications.

As per WI state statute, please note that if you receive monies under the Information Technology Instructional Program, you will NOT be eligible for the CTE incentive grants. See http://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/statutes/statutes/115/II/455 .

Schools interested in being a part of the Microsoft Imagine Academy and Certification program should contact wisconsininfo@meucciandco.com. There is no cost for schools to access the Microsoft Imagine Academy and offer Microsoft Office Specialist, Microsoft Technical Associate, and Microsoft Certified Educators certification tests during the 2018-2019 school year. This offer will close when the 240 MSIA membership licenses and 224 certification site licenses have been distributed.
