National Library Week 2019

Thursday, April 4, 2019

This year, National Library Week is April 7-13. There is much to celebrate, including Wisconsin library patrons checking out more than 5 million digital books through Wisconsin’s Digital Library, more than 10 million successful information retrievals from our BadgerLink collection, and a new tool for libraries to examine and improve library accessibility.

There are special observance days during the week, starting off with the release of the “State of America’s Library Report,” Monday, April 8. Tuesday, April 9 is dedicated to all library staff, administrators, and friend groups and their contributions to libraries. Wednesday, April 10 is National Bookmobile Day, and Thursday, April 11 is “Take Action for Libraries Day,” which is a chance for anyone to share their favorite library stories while advocating for libraries.

  • Check out an E-book or a real book.
