Public Libraries, including Bookmobiles Offer Important Services

Tuesday, July 27, 2021

Trying to find something to do this summer? Look no further than your public library, including several bookmobiles around the state. One bookmobile, in particular, is touring Madison throughout the summer. The Dream Bus has been around since April 2019 and offers many different services, such as helping people obtain a library card, check out material, access free WiFi, and many other services. The Dream Bus is the ultimate library on wheels offering about 2,700 different items, such as movies, children’s books, Spanish books, and even adult non-fiction.

The Dream Bus tours the Madison area five days a week year-round at many different locations. Visiting multiple locations throughout the week increases accessibility to families who struggle to find transportation to a local library. Another perk of the Dream Bus is the financial flexibility it offers with outstanding library fines. Most excitingly, the Dream Bus does not charge late fees on checked-out items.

You can catch the Dream Bus from Monday-Fridays at multiple locations throughout Madison. For the complete Dream Bus schedule and to learn more, visit the Dream Bus website.

This summer, the Madison Public Library, and Forward Madison have united to bring people the joy of reading and discovering the many resources that libraries offer. Catch the Dream Bus outside Breese Stevens Field when Forward Madison plays!
